Numbers
The counting system is base 10, though there are hints of a base 6 system underneath.
Each number is made from its root with a suffix indicating what you are counting. The suffixes are as follows:
The number roots, from 1-9, are as follows:
When you count, and you aren’t counting anything, just listing off numbers, use the “-ga” suffix, like so:
To make multiples of 10, you’ll add a special suffix: -nn. N is an easily changed sound, and it’ll change to be close to whatever consonant following it.
Examples:
To put numbers in the 1’s place, prefix the needed number root.
To make multiples of 100, you’ll add the suffix: -yi.
Then, if you want to put numbers in the ten’s place, prefix that number with the -nn suffix, like so:
These numbers can get quite long, like: 1357 - Ama'vinn'zhuyi'maaga
The counting system is base 10, though there are hints of a base 6 system underneath.
Each number is made from its root with a suffix indicating what you are counting. The suffixes are as follows:
-ga - for counting things that are abstract concepts, like numerals, math, and money
-fo - for inanimate objects
-na - for growing/swelling things: spells, plants, fungus, and stalagmites and stalactites.
-shi - for animate things: people, celestial objects, and spirits or gods
The number roots, from 1-9, are as follows:
1 ma-
2 bwe-
3 zhu-
4 lo-
5 vi-
6 ka-
7 ama-
8 ewe-
9 uzhu-
When you count, and you aren’t counting anything, just listing off numbers, use the “-ga” suffix, like so:
Maga, bwega, zhuga, loga, viga, kaga, amaga, ewega, uzhuga
To make multiples of 10, you’ll add a special suffix: -nn. N is an easily changed sound, and it’ll change to be close to whatever consonant following it.
Examples:
Manga – #10
Bweffo do -20 stones
Zhunna gossa – 30 flowers
Loshhi anore – 40 people
To put numbers in the 1’s place, prefix the needed number root.
Uzhu'manga – #19
Ewe'bweffo do – 28 stones
Ama'zhunna gossa – 37 flowers
Ka'loshhi anore – 46 people
To make multiples of 100, you’ll add the suffix: -yi.
Loyiga – #400
Viefo do – 500 stones (Note that –yi is an –e in this case)
Kayina gossa – 600 flowers
Eweyishi anore – 700 people
Then, if you want to put numbers in the ten’s place, prefix that number with the -nn suffix, like so:
Mann'mayiga – #110To make multiples of 1000, you’ll add the suffix –a. It will interact with the vowels in the numbers in interesting ways, so pay careful attention.
Bwenn'bweyifo do – 220 stones
Zhunn'zhuyina gossa – 330 flowers
Lonn'loyishi anore – 440 people
Vinn'viega – #550
Kann'kayifo do – 660 stones
Amann'amayina gossa - 770 flowers
Ewenn'eweyishi anore – 880 people
Uzhunn'uzhuyiga – #990
Maaga – #1000
Bwaafo do – 2000 stones
Gwana gossa – 3000 flowers
Laashi anore – 4000 people
Viaga – #5000
Kaafo do – 6000 stones
These numbers can get quite long, like: 1357 - Ama'vinn'zhuyi'maaga
